Haslach in the Kinzigtal - market and half-timbered houses in romantic harmony
The little town in Baden (7000 inhabitants, 220m above sea level, 400 beds), although it is located almost exactly
in the middle of the Black Forest, has a climate that belongs to the mild Upper Rhine. The wide market streets,
together with the half-timbered, narrow residential and craftsman's alleys, give the southernmost place on the
half-timbered street a unique flair. The half-timbered old town has been under ensemble protection since 1978.
The traffic-calmed half-timbered old town with its numerous cafés, bistros and small shops is a lively experience
for locals and guests, and not just on the more than ninety market days a year. Other sights include the baroque
Capuchin monastery, the "Black Forest Costume Museum" - the most extensive collection of all Black Forest
costumes and the "Blessing of God" visitor mine.
