Schorndorf - The Daimler town
Schorndorf is known across the country as the birthplace of Gottlieb Daimler, who revolutionized the world with
his invention. But it's not just the Daimler birthplace that's worth a trip: the Schorndorf market square with its
half-timbered backdrop was already the filming location for the ARD series "The King of Bärenbach".
Picturesque alleys invite you to stroll and linger. There you will also find other sights, such as the town church,
whose depiction of the Root Jesse in the Marienchor goes back to the builder Anton Pilgram (St. Stephen's
Cathedral in Vienna) or the castle palace, with its enchanted half-timbered courtyard. Modern sculptures by
Horst Antes, Jürgen Goertz and many other well-known artists line your path. We would be happy to arrange
tours and other group offers for you.
