Once again this year, the Lichterzauber in Hann. Münden will take place as part of our Christmas programme. The half-timbered and three-river town once again unfolds an enchanting flair in the picturesque old town during the winter season. The quaint streets of the old town are framed by artistically arranged light sculptures, which interact to create breathtaking seas of light. In addition to the larger-than-life, three-dimensional sculptures, trees decorated with fairy lights immerse visitors in a sparkling winter wonderland. This is complemented by illuminated half-timbered gables and windows, which skilfully showcase the centuries-old half-timbered houses and create unforgettable impressions.
Stroll through the old town in a cosy atmosphere alone or together with friends and family and discover the fascinating light installations piece by piece. You should definitely pack your camera, as the Magic of Lights in Hann. Münden is a great place to take photos.
This year, the Magic of Lights invites visitors to be captivated by the many light sculptures and decorations from 29 November 2024 to the end of January 2025.

Enjoy the spirit of the pre-Christmas season in an especially romantic setting, in and around the historic market place of Calw. The Calw Christmas Market definitely numbers among the most beautiful: Besides gingerbread stands and a Christmas café located in the foyer of the Hermann Hesse Museum, historic arts and crafts performances bring back to life old customs and tower trumpeters as well as singing angels preach the joyous message. It is a market of the senses also on account of the culinary delights offered at the Calw Christmas Market. A Christmas tour of the town will also lead you up to the beautiful hilltop paths of Calw

Christmas Magic in timber framing setting and with enchanting experience
Every year, the historical old town of Pfullendorf transforms into an atmospheric Christmas Market. The popular and famous Angel Descent is the most magical part of it.
Stroll over the romantically illuminated market place and get enchanted with deliciously smelling treats, heavenly sounds and atmospheric lights.
Discover handmade Christmas decorations, sewn and crafted goodies and many more beautiful present ideas from local vendors.
Local artists of all ages will do their part in providing the Christmas market with extraordinarily beautiful sounds.
On Saturday, the day begins with a fairytale reading session. Let go and get teleported into an imaginary winter wonderland at Weltladen.
Afterwards, get yourself warmed up with a hot beverage and enjoy the romantic atmosphere below the Christmas tree before the highlight of the Christmas market takes place: The Angel Descent. The Angel will magically descent from the church tower down to the market place and share the Christmas message. Subsequently, the Angel of Pfullendorf will be given to a person that made a difference in the community. The Angel is a symbol of honoring the voluntary work in the community.
How to get there and parking:
Arrive by car: Free and unlimited parking is provided at Stadtgarten. Walking up the street “Am alten Spital”, it takes 3 minutes to get to the market place from Stadtgarten. In the city center, it is permitted to park no longer than two hours.

World's largest Advent calendar house for great art in the Black Forest
For decades, the town hall in Gengenbach in the Black Forest has been a magical attraction during the Advent season: with its 24 windows, it is transformed into the world's largest Advent calendar house for great art. World-famous artists such as Marc Chagall and Andy Warhol have transformed the town hall into a unique winter wonderland with their works. This year, paradisiacal pictures by one of Germany's most renowned contemporary illustrators, Olaf Hajek, will be presented. He will enchant visitors with his inimitable, award-winning style.
The window-opening ritual begins every evening at 6 pm. An overwhelming spectacle until the last of the 24 windows is opened and the town hall shines in all its splendor.
The supporting program on the stage in front of the town hall begins daily at 5 pm and at 3 pm at weekends.
Wonderful Christmas scents waft through the air and invite you to stroll through the Gengenbach Advent market in a unique setting.
From the façade of the town hall to Museum Haus Löwenberg: Corresponding to the Gengenbach Advent calendar, the exhibition “miniManie” - Big things very small and small things very big, celebrates the fascination of small things but also presents originals by Olaf Hajek.
The other Gengenbach museums present special events, exhibitions and all-round views from the towers. One more reason to stroll through the historic old town of Gengenbach with its atmospheric lighting.
